CHILDREN'S EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM. The mission and purpose of the Children's Early Intervention is to work with family and community to provide services for children with developmental delays in pre-school and community settings, improving quality of life by building skills in the social, motor, cognitive, communication, and adaptive areas. Parents are encouraged to participate in classroom activities. For children's ages 3 to 5. Please contact ei@consortium-inc.org.

SUPPORTS COORDINATION PROGRAM. The Supports Coordination Program serves children and adults with mental retardation or developmental disabilities throughout the City of Philadelphia. After registering with the Philadelphia County Mental Retardation Services (MRS) office by calling 215-685-4617, consumers and their families can choose The Consortium as their Supports Coordination Organization (SCO). Supports Coordination helps people access supports and services that enhance their lives and assist in their personal goals for independence. These areas include but are not limited to: medical, educational, behavioral health, vocational, living arrangements, and community and recreational resources. One popular resource available is the MyCityMyPlace website, which provides a centralized resource directory for the mental retardation community. Supports vary in intensity based on the needs of the individual being served. In addition, funds are available through the Family Driven Support Services (FDSS) program to assist families with small but needed expenditures for their family members with a disability. The emphasis of the Supports Coordination Program is to assist people in attaining their identified goals through individualized support plans and to help them to become fully integrated in their communities. A Supports Coordinator helps people to participate more actively in their communities through a person-centered plan that identifies a person?s strengths, dreams, goals, and desires. A Supports Coordinator helps with locating, coordinating, and monitoring services and supports for the individual. Please contact mrservice@consortium-inc.org.
